The Goo Goo Dolls Street Team is a grassroots organization created to support and publicize the Goo Goo Dolls and the many organizations they work with - USA Harvest, Music in Action and Good Charamel Records, to name a few. We aren't exactly "just" a fansite, but we aren't exactly a "band" site either. We are the fans who want to do something to help promote the music of the Goo Goo Dolls and all of their endeavors!
As well as working with Warner Brothers Records, distributing promotional materials and working together to promote the GGD music on local radio stations, etc., our Street Team also: ~ works with USA Harvest to collect food for the hungry, something which is very dear to our hearts and to the Goos. The GGDST volunteers collect food at as many of the Goo Goo Dolls' concerts as we are able; the food is then distributed directly to the local community in which the concert is being held ~ in many cases, the donations are used to feed the local hungry that very night. USA Harvest has an offshoot program called Blessings in a Backpack. In order to understand (and help support) this wonderful program, please check out the site. ~ works with Music In Action/Feed the Music, a non-profit high school program that gives students the opportunity to learn about careers in music and the music industry.
